As SAGE is upon us, please remind your students to get extra sleep, eat a good breakfast, and come relaxed. It is not meant to be a stressful situation. I have truly enjoyed working with your kiddos! Have a great summer!!!!
My name is Tammy Wesley. I am the Special Education teacher for K-5th grade. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education: Mild to Moderate Disabilities. I have taught 1st-12th with a variety of challenges across the spectrum. Working with children is a passion of mine, so I am excited to be working with the Hawthorn Academy team!
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my four beautiful children and my incredible husband. We love to travel everywhere! If we’re not traveling, I enjoy play board/card games, baking (anything chocolate or sweet), coloring with Copic markers, and watching television.

I have amazing aides who work tirelessly with the students to make sure they are succeeding. They are great examples of the IB traits we strive to instill in our students. Thank you for your continued support throughout this year and in the future!​
